林瑞芳教授

    Shui-fong Lam is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Hong Kong. She obtained her bachelor’s degree and post graduate diploma in education from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, master’s degree (counseling psychology) from the University of Texas, and doctoral degree (school psychology) from the University of Minnesota. Since 1994, Dr. Lam has been teaching in the Department of Psychology at the University of Hong Kong. She is now the Director of Master Program in Educational Psychology, a professional training program for educational psychologists. She was the recipient of the Outstanding Teaching Award from the University of Hong Kong in 2012 and the Outstanding International Scholar Award from the International School Psychology Association in 2015. She also received the Knowledge Exchange Award from the Social Sciences Faculty at the University of Hong Kong in 2016. Her research interests lie in achievement motivation, parenting, instructional strategies, positive psychology, and mindfulness. She is also concerned with the improvement of psychoeducational services in school system.

    林瑞芳,香港大學心理學系教授。獲香港中文大學文學學士、教育文憑,美國德薩斯大學教育碩士 (心理輔導),及美國明尼蘇達大學哲學博士 (教育心理)。自1994年起任教於香港大學心理學系,現為教育心理學碩士課程的主任,負責培訓教育心理學家。2012年,獲香港大學的傑出教學獎。2015年,獲國際學校心理學會的傑出國際學者獎。2016年,獲香港大學社會科學院的知識交流獎。其研究興趣包括父母子女關係、正向心理學、靜觀、學習動機、教學策略、以及如何改善教育心理服務等課題。

    The Practice and Effectiveness of Mindfulness:

    Its Application in Schools

    靜觀的效用與修習:在學校的應用

    In recent years, mindfulness has been widely used in medical field and obtained strong evidence for its effectiveness on the enhancement of mental health. However, the application of mindfulness in education is still at an initial stage. Educators have the responsibility to promote mindfulness in schools, particularly in Hong Kong education system, in which stress is enormous. In this keynote speech, Prof. Lam will cover the following four themes on mindfulness: (1) What is mindfulness? (2) What is the effectiveness of mindfulness? (3) Why mindfulness is effective? (4) How to apply mindfulness in schools? She will also introduce three mindfulness courses that are tailored made for the school population: (1) Paws b for primary school students, (2) .b for secondary school students, (3) .b Foundations for teachers and parents.

    近年,心理學界很推崇靜觀在對抗壓力上的功用。現在靜觀已被廣泛應用於醫療和輔導工作中,取得很觸目的成果。然而,靜觀在教育上的應用還是處於起步階段,教育工作者實在有需要在這方面多下功夫。在這一個演講裡,林瑞芳教授會和教育界的同工探討四個課題:(1)什麼是靜觀,(2)靜觀的效用,(3)為什麼靜觀有效用,(4)靜觀怎在學校裡應用。她也會介紹三套在學校裡適用的靜觀課程:(1)為小學生而設的Paws b課程,(2)為中學生而設的.b 課程,(3)為教師和家長而設的.b基礎靜觀課程。

    A Taste of Paws b and .b Mindfulness Courses

    體驗Paws b和.b的靜觀課

    In this workshop, the participants can have the first-hand experience of being students of Paws b and .b courses. The former is a 12-session mindfulness course for primary school students whereas the latter is a 10-session mindfulness course for secondary school students. Both courses are developed by Mindfulness in Schools Project (MiSP), a charity organization in the UK. The Chinese version of these two courses can be readily taught as social-emotional curricula in life education lessons or homeroom periods in Hong Kong schools. The workshop will be divided into two parts. Prof. Lam will teach one session of Paws b in the first part and then one session of .b in the second part. Time will be reserved for discussion on pedagogy after each session.

    在這一個工作坊,參與者可以親身體驗Paws b和.b的靜觀課。前者是為小學生而設的靜觀課程,一共十二節;後者是為中學生而設的靜觀課程,一共十節課。兩者都是英國的一個慈善團體,學校靜觀計劃(Mindfulness in Schools Project)所設計。現在已經有中文版本,可以在香港學校的生命教育課、輔導課、或班主任課裡教授。工作坊將分為兩個部分,在第一部分,林瑞芳教授將實時教授一節Paws b的課。小休以後她會實時教授一節.b的課。兩節課後都有討論時段,讓參與者就剛才經歷的課節提出問題和意見。
